ESPA @ Aqualina

Surprisingly out of place, the mish-mashed interior design and Venetian/Roman style Aqualina building which serves as the Resort-Residence to many of the rich & retired "old Miami Beach" population, is home of their FIRST ESPA ever to hit America! In the UK, the spa is renowned and synonymous with all things LUXURY,from the unique product line to the management and architecture/design of each and every nook and cranny... the place is FAB!

I had, seriously, the best massage OF MY LIFE ( and I frequent spa's like I SHOULD the gym). My therapist, Bhafey, got deep inside my muscles and knots, and used Thai techniques to lift me off the the massage bed in ways I normally only do in yoga.

Do I recommend you visit before Miami Spa Month is up on Aug 31st.. YES! This place is $$$ and I got away for a mere $121.50 for a 50 min treatment and about 2 hours in the changing rooms where I sat in every steam and sauna, and then had the most relaxing shower. They also have a special pool for only spa visitors and accommodating hot spa on an oceanfront deck!

Canyon Ranch Grill

From left to right: Spa Cocktail "Lavendar Pillow" with organic lavendar, organic blueberries, vodka, etc, yummy flatbread, and Spa Cocktail "Global Cooler" with fresh cucumber, basil, lime and Veev acai spirit.. AMAZING!
As you know, I am ecstatic about Miami Spa Month, and this is a shot taken while my best gf and I lounged for lunch on the deck of Canyon Ranch Grill. I have to recommend their Spa Cocktails and fabulous Chilled Avocado Soup! Click Here for participating spa's and to get info on how to book your own spa day!

Famed Chilled Avocado Soup with Shrimp and Mango Salsa in to die for innovative glassware!

Which reminds me... Miami Spice is up next. Keep your eyes out for my cont'd updates as I take advantage of all the great offers!

Here is a review that spaindex.com asked me to write for them after seeing a few of my Tweets raving about my experience!

Upon arrival at the breezy valet, a clean man in a 3 piece suit opened my door and said "Welcome to your spa getaway". Now really, this is Miami Beach, land full of over-capacity upscale spa's, where it seems as if more people are there to gaze at each other than actually indulge in the lapse of luxury and relaxation. This, however, is not the case at Canyon Ranch. The staff is warm and attentive, very personable! Even the locker room has multiple attendants to assist & guide you on informative walk throughs of the vanity, shower, and famed "Aquavana". "Aquavana" is an outrageous hydrotherapy that is fully equipped with the most impressive array of experential showers, crystal steam room, herbal laconium, and more! This was a true breath of fresh air when it comes to staff courtesy, true spa ambience, and five star luxury for this satisfied miami local!
