"The Boys" (screenplay)- Insight to the characters & plot

The Boys

Al- lead entrepreneur, first character introduced.. young, loveable, grew up hard-knock, not perfect, illegal/ black market sales, incredibly successful at an  age where he reflects that of 10 years his minor, i.e. he was 18 in the start of the film.. but amongst community leaders and executives in their mid 40’s…believable and trustworthy, always voicing an initiative to get out.. sometimes blindly investing his literal blood money (his blood to earn it and internal conflict + blood of street gangs and members of the industry inherent to scarface type genre)

Gio- ex-mafiosa from the NE with a distinct look, mystery builds up to his origins with Al’s personal presumption that he is a “failed” member of the family sent to Miami to get them out and then shunned. Married to Sabrina. Engages in business deal with Al during recession and after recent catastrophic downfall in Gio’s industry.. He screws Al over early on in the deal but at one point is totally dependant on him and Al feels for his insecurities and losses. Understands Gio is literally breaking down.

Sabrina-  wife of Gio.

Benny- steals Sabrina from Gio and vindictively fucks Al over in a major heartfelt deal over the odd emotions of the threesome they shared with Gio and Sabrina prior to the divorce. Uses political involvement and power to distract the obvious his use of drugs and sporadic mood changes, yet Al knows where Benny get’s his  “power” from… his own best friend! We all love this character at first. He appears among Al in the opening scene. He is fun and handsome lawyer with the chic youthful spirit of Miami. However, we come to learn he is the enemy and ultimate victim of reciprocity.
